For the most part, everything
was well moulded and fit together nicely. There were some
nasty sink marks on the fuel filler caps as evidenced
by the Tamiya putty in the picture above.
Tamiya putty was also used
to fill the seams between the sides and hull bottom. Mr.
Surfacer hid my overzealous use of the file in this area.
Turned brass and aluminium
barrels from Master replaced the kit parts,
Mirage doesn't incorporate
any way of retaining the turret, it merely sits in the
hole in the upper hull. It was a simple matter to add
tabs on the turret ring from .030" x .040" plastic
strip and file slots for them to fit into in the upper
hull opening.
