Neomega's outer wing panels
replace the poorly shaped kit parts.
A template was made from
.010" plastic sheet and the starboard door was rescribed.
The original door scribing
was filled in with Mr. Surfacer. Clearly visible here
is how very wrong Hasegawa got this! Note also the horrible
moulded-on exhausts and the amount of filing and filling
I had to do to get the wing panels blended in. The Neomega
outer wing panels are installed here.
New exhausts made from
Micro brass tubing from Albion Alloys. I used a conical
Dremel cutting bit (by hand) to thin the edges.
A resin and etched gunsight
from Clear Prop was utilized. Very fiddly but it looks
pretty good. Seatbelts are from Yahu.
I created masks for the
patriotic slogans and the numbers on the rudder. These
were then painted in white to replace the kit decals which
were incorrectly printed in silver.
