A 3D printed bust that
I painted for a friend. This was printed on an FDM printer,
consequently there are a lot of very visible layer lines.
I prefer my SLA printer which gives much better quality
and finer details, the downside being that I can't print
large items like this (Batman is about 8" tall, including
the base).
The mask and cape are ModelMaster
Insignia Blue, with a wash of Vallejo Black and drybrushed
with Humbrol Medium Blue (25). The Grey is Gunze FS 36118,
again with a wash of Black and drybrushed with a lighter
Grey. Face is various shades of Vallejo Flesh tone paints
and teeth are Humbrol Ivory (41).
This was a fun project, and more than a little bit out
of my normal fare.
