What's new?
October 4th, 2025 - Another Tom Daniel car graces us with its presence today. One of my all time faves, the ol' Revell-Monogram Pie Wagon.

September 5th, 2025 - I finally got around to adding one of the figures I completed a few months ago, a 1/24th scale Vampirella. Some of the figures I've been working on could be considered a bit risqué, consequently they will be in a separate section to which I've added an age verification doohickey, just to be on the safe side.

June 23rd, 2025 - It's only taken years, but there is finally a new 1/32nd scale aircraft up. Hasegawa's Boeing P-12E is gracing us with its presence today. There is also a 12-part YouTube series on my trials and tribulations of building this aged kit, which can be seen here.

May 14th, 2025 - The transformation is complete, the creature lives! I've finally finished switching all the pages to the new format, everything has been checked and tested and, other than the confirmation for the contact page, everything appears to be functioning correctly. The broken confirmation page may be semi-permanent, for a while at least. I suspect it's a Javascript issue but I'm pretty crap at Javascript so I may not be able to fix it myself. The contact form does work though, so please feel free to use it and I will get the message. If in doubt, there's always email.

Next up, I will be replacing the older pictures with shiny new ones.

May 3rd, 2025 - I'm gettin' there! Most of the site has now been switched to the new format, there's really only the "Etc." pages left and a bit of tidying up here and there. I've also managed to get the contact form working - sort of. The form works, I will receive a message, but for some reason the confirmation page doesn't load. So, once you hit the 'submit' button, you don't need to wait around for a page telling you your message has been sent, 'cause you just won't get one I'm afraid. I'm working on it, and hopefully I will get it fully functional in the near-ish future. I have also added a reCAPTCHA function. I know, I know, I am sorry about that. We all hate them, but as always, a few spamming assholes have to ruin it for the rest of us, so it is an unfortunate by-product of the wonderful age we live in.

April 24th, 2025 - All the aircraft and the armour pages are now switched over to the new format, with the exception of the armour reviews. There are only three so they won't take long. Cars are next in line for the upgrade.

I'm also improving a lot of the existing photos as I go, and updating some of the outdated information in the articles and links pages. Once the site upgrade is finished, I will work on replacing some of the pictures with better ones. Many of the pics on here were taken more than twenty years ago with a 1 mega pixel camera. State of the art in 2002, not so much in 2025!

April 14th, 2025 - Making good progress on the revamp. All the 1/144th and 1/72nd aircraft pages have been updated to the new format and I am trying to get at least 9 or 10 pages a day updated. It's a lot of work, but hopefully by the end of the month I will have the vast majority of the site switched over. I am doing my best to test everything as I go but there may be the odd link or two that temporarily doesn't work.

I also have the first of the Figures loaded, good ol' Batman gets this new section up and running.

April 7th, 2025 - Lookee here, a jolly, happy, shiny new format! I have been thinking of a major update for quite some time now, mainly to drag myself kicking and screaming into the 21st century, get rid of the frames and change everything to single pages, which seems to be all the rage these days. I've also, hopefully, simplified the navigation and got rid of some of the pages which no longer hold any interest for me.

You'll also notice there is now a Figures section, a new effort for me and one I am still trying to acquire some skills in. I have quite a few done however and they will appear in that section as and when I have time to create pages for them.

Most of the main pages have now been updated to the new format, however switching all of the pages will take a lot of time and effort, so please bear with me while I slowly get the rest swapped over. In the meantime, you can use your browser's back button to navigate back to the main pages where all the navigation buttons are available.

March 29th, 2025 - A minor, not-really-an-update update today. You may notice that warpedplastic.co.uk now takes you to warpedplastic.ca. This because the UK company hosting this site since its inception way back in 2004 (yes, unbelievably, this site has been around for 21 years!!) is shutting its doors. Consequently, I moved it to a new server in Canada and I took the opportunity to also register the .ca domain. Once the .co.uk address expires later this year, this site will only exist under the .ca domain. There are more changes afoot - stay tuned!
